Are you familiar with
Title Nine catalog? It is one of my most favorite things to receive in the mail. I often dream of a life where I am wearing their clothes and am either biking, paddling or skateboarding around town looking free and easy. The one thing that bursts my bubble is reading the bios of the models. I used to enjoy reading about their favorite book, dog's name and favorite childhood memory, but now I get depressed when I read about their multiple jobs, vacations where they cure some disease in a small village or see that their favorite food is broccoli. Really??? I find it hard enough to get my kids to school on time, or remember to get milk before the next morning's breakfast.
Through discussions with friends I have found they feel the same. Don't get me wrong, I think the gals from Title Nine accomplish great things for their communities and lead full and rewarding lives. By no means do I want to diminish their accomplishments, but don't we deserve praise too? That is why I am here to help us all celebrate the everyday.
